The Golden Era of Bokaro Education

As the plant grew, so did the need for high-quality education for the workers' children. The SAIL board subsidized and established premier educational institutions such as Delhi Public School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, and St. Xavier's. Bokaro rapidly turned into an academic powerhouse. Throughout the 80s and 90s, the city consistently produced national toppers in engineering (IIT-JEE) and medical entrance exams, creating a legacy that turned education into the city's second biggest export.
