Bokaro Steel City has its own railway station and is well connected by road to the rest of Jharkhand, which makes it a convenient base for both business trips and weekend getaways to the state's hill and waterfall destinations.

By rail and road

Bokaro Steel City railway station connects to Dhanbad and onward to major national rail routes. By road, Ranchi (the state capital) is roughly a 3-hour drive, while Dhanbad is closer, at under two hours. Bokaro also has its own small domestic airport, though scheduled commercial flights have varied over the years, so it's worth checking current flight status before planning a trip around it.
